TRIALS
Lodgepole Pine Size and Needle Type Trial - Kluskus/Willington Lake. Third Season Progress Report
- Container grown spring plant lodgepole pine was sorted into three
different classes based on height (i.e. short, medium, tall), prior to
harvest and frozen storage. The tall height class was also sorted into
two groups consisting of either primary or secondary needles. Three year
growth and survival results are presented after planting in north central
British Columbia.

High Elevation Summer Plant Engelmann Spruce Stock Type Trial -
Porcupine Creek (Nelson, B.C.). Fourth Season Progress Report.
- One seedlot of Engelmann spruce container seedlings was grown in various container sizes as both a one-year and two-year-old crop. The seedlings were then summer planted on two high elevation sites in south-eastern B.C. After four growing seasons, overall survival, height, ground level diameter, and the height:to:diameter ratio were assessed.

LResponse of Lodgepole Pine Seedlings to Donaren Mounding, by Patience Byman.
- Donaren mounding site preparation treatment was investigated in one to five-year-old lodgepole pine plantations in the SBSmk1 biogeclimatic zone in British Columbia, and the Upper Foothills region in Alberta. Survival and growth analysis on the shoots and roots was carried out, as was economic analysis using TIPSY (version 2.1e).
